With four regular season games remaining, the Mountain Hawks are one game behind eighth-place Loyola and two (in the loss column) behind seventh-place Bucknell, with games against both teams still remaining.

Last time out at Army, the Mountain Hawks fought back from a 10-point halftime deficit and 14-point deficit early in the stanza to pull as close as three, with a chance to tie. After 10 first-half turnovers, Lehigh had just two in the second half - helping the Mountain Hawks get back into the game. Sophomore Jeameril Wilson continued his stellar play, scoring a career-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and 3-of-6 from 3-point range. It marked the third straight game Wilson posted a career high in a major statistical category, first grabbing 15 rebounds at Lafayette (and posting his first-career double-double), then scoring a career-high 19 points vs. Holy Cross and 20 at Army.
Freshman Reed Fenton proved a big second-half spark at both ends of the floor, finishing with 15 points (11 coming after halftime). He finished 6-of-9 from the field and 2-of-5 from 3-point range. Sophomore Nic Lynch added 12 points and seven boards, 10 and six coming after halftime. The loss was just the Mountain Hawks' second in their last six tries at Army.
With the return of junior James Karnik to the lineup, Saturday saw moments of both Karnik and Lynch on the court at the same time, as the Mountain Hawks went big (6-foot-11 Lynch, 6-foot-9 Karnik and 6-foot-7 Wilson). Saturday marked Lehigh's second game with Karnik back and third with freshman Evan Taylor back. Both Karnik and Taylor have come off the bench since their return.
The Mountain Hawks will face a challenging opponent on Wednesday in Colgate, who is coming off a Sunday defeat at Loyola. In the first meeting between Lehigh and Colgate, the Mountain Hawks hung tough in the first half (down just 10 at the half) before the Raiders pulled away in the second. Colgate has won four of the last five between the sides, but the games in Hamilton, N.Y. have been more competitive. Last season, Lehigh dropped a 91-78 final. Two years ago, current junior Marques Wilson scored a career-high 28 points on 9-of-10 shooting in an impressive 88-78 victory.
Colgate comes in at 20-7, 11-3 in the Patriot League following an 84-80 loss at Loyola Sunday. The snapped the Raiders' four-game winning streak, which included wins at Holy Cross, Lehigh, vs. Navy and at Boston University. Colgate has featured the same starting lineup in all but one game this season, and all five are averaging double figures. Jordan Burns leads the way, averaging 15.2. He's followed by last year's Patriot League Player of the Year Rapolas Ivanauskas (13.0), Will Rayman (12.6), Nelly Cummings (11.1) and Tucker Richardson (10.3). Rayman leads the team in rebounds (8.7). The Raiders leads the Patriot League in scoring offense (75.3) and scoring margin (+6.7).
Lehigh is 6-4 over its last 10 games against Colgate, but the four defeats have come over the last five games. Overall, Colgate leads the all-time series, 55-42. The first-ever meeting between the two sides was in 1909-10, a 25-24 Colgate win. Lehigh's first victory was in 1961-62 by a 72-71 final.
Following Wednesday's game, the Mountain Hawks return to Stabler Arena for their final two home games of the season. Lehigh hosts Bucknell on Sunday (12 p.m.) on Senior Day before hosting Boston University on Wednesday (7 p.m.).
