Women's Basketball announces 16-game Patriot League schedule for 2020-21 season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — There will be a basketball season in 2021, as the Patriot League office unveiled the women's basketball schedule for the upcoming season on Monday morning.
With no non-league games on the schedule for this year, Lehigh's schedule will consist of 16 games, with the Patriot League being split into three mini-conferences. For the upcoming season, Lehigh will join Bucknell and Lafayette in the Central mini-conference.
Doing away with the traditional round-robin format and with a geographic emphasis on opponents in close proximity, the Mountain Hawks will play four games against each of those opponents with an additional four games against opponents from other mini-conferences (American, Holy Cross, Loyola and Colgate) to complete the 16-game slate. Lehigh will not play Army West Point, Navy or Boston U. during the regular season. The games are subject to change.
If necessary, make-up games will be built into the schedule for Feb. 27 and 28.
The Patriot League Championships are set to take place Mar. 7-14.
After finishing 19-11 in 2019-20 with a league record of 10-8 and a berth into the Patriot League semifinal round for the second year in a row, the Mountain Hawks will kick off the 2021 campaign on Jan. 2 against Lafayette on the road, taking on the Leopards the very next day at home on Jan. 3.
Specific times for all contests are to be announced.
Lehigh Athletics is currently working on all the logistics for hosting home games within the University guidelines and will communicate details as they become available including radio, television and streaming options.
