BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh women's basketball team concluded its 2018-19 season by ending with its annual Awards Banquet and dinner Saturday night. The team reminisced on a season that stood as one of the best in the last decade, earning its first 20-win season since the 2010-11 season. The Mountain Hawks' 12 wins in Patriot League play are their most since the 2009-10 championship team that finished 13-1.25223

The Outstanding Athlete Award, awarded to "the player who makes the most outstanding athletic contribution to the accomplishment of the team," was given to junior guard Camryn Buhr. Buhr had a fantastic 2018-19 season, averaging 12.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She shot 43.8 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from beyond the arc. Buhr led the team in in points, rebounds, field goal percentage and 3-point percentage and finished as one of the Patriot League's best free-throw shooters with a final mark of 82.6 percent.

Most notably on the season, she became a member of the 500 career rebound club. With 537 rebounds, Buhr is currently 16th on the all-time list. She also made progress in becoming a member of the 1,000-point club with 974 points at the end of the year. When she reaches the 1,000 point mark next season, she will become just the eighth Lehigh player in program history to achieve the 1,000-500 club.

The Scholar Athlete Award, given to "the student-athlete who in the eyes of her teammates exemplifies the ideal of the scholar-athlete," was awarded to junior guard Hannah Hedstrom for the second consecutive season. Hedstrom finished the fall semester with a cumulative 3.96 GPA and was an Academic All-Patriot League selection as well as a Google Cloud Academic All-District selection. She also finished her semester with an appearance on the Fall 2018 Dean's List and had a 4.0 semester. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Hedstrom was a member of the Patriot League All-Defensive Team and became a member of the 300 assist club, currently sitting ninth all-time in program history with 302 assists.

The Coaches Award is awarded to "the individual who made significant contributions to the well-being of the team in terms of attitude, improvement or special leadership." The 2019 award was given to senior guard Hailey Pascoe. Pascoe was the Mountain Hawks' lone senior in the starting lineup and had a fantastic senior campaign as the team's sharpshooter from 3-point land. Pascoe finished her career ninth on the all-time 3-pointer list with 134 made shots. She exemplified on the court exactly what a leader is through the way she played the game, the attitude she had towards other players and her opponents, as well as the way she has mentored players below her to become leaders in their own right.

The Sixth Man Award is given to "an individual or group of people who have made a major impact on the program." This year, it was awarded to women's basketball team manager Olivia Dahlgren '21 and her English Cream Golden Retriever, Lucy who was the team's therapy dog throughout the season. Lucy helped the team relieve stress and deal with the challenges of being a student-athlete at Lehigh. Olivia and Lucy traveled with the team throughout the season, and you could just see the impact Lucy brought to the team and was a big part of their success on an emotional level.

Lehigh women's basketball also presented its letter-winners for this past season. First Year letterwinners were Emma Grothaus, Emily Johnson, Katie Rice, Clair Steele and Megan Walker. Second Year letterwinners were Mary Clougherty and Mariah Sexe. Third Year letterwinners were Cameryn Benz, Camryn Buhr, Paige Galiani, Gena Grundhoffer and Hannah Hedstrom, while Hailey Pascoe, Bryce Menendez and Meagan Eripret were honored with fourth year letterwinner awards.
