Buhr And Hedstrom Earn All-Patriot League Recognition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Juniors Camryn Buhr and Hannah Hedstrom of the Lehigh women's basketball team earned All-Patriot League recognition, as announced by the league office on Friday.
Buhr, a junior management major was named to the All-Patriot League First Team. After being named to the Third Team All-Patriot League last season, Buhr was one of the leaders offensively for the Mountain Hawks this season, leading the Brown and White in points per game with 12.8. Buhr was also the leader in double-doubles with six and rebounds per game with 7.0.
In the final game of the regular season, Buhr exploded for 20 points, 12 rebounds, one steal and one block against the Holy Cross Crusaders.
"Cam's development as a player over the past year has occurred given her ability to influence both ends of the floor with her commitment to defending and her versatility to score in a number of different ways," said head coach Sue Troyan.
Hedstrom, a junior biology major, was named to the All-Defensive Patriot League Team for her prowess on the court this season. The Mountain Hawk's leader in steals per game with 1.7, Hedstrom was also spot on when it came to rebounds, averaging 5.1 this season. She was also key on the offensive end, dishing out an average of 3.3 assists per game.
Against the Crusaders in the regular season finale, Hedstrom chipped in eight points along with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal.
"Hannah is the engine to our team defense that has been one of the top performing defenses in the Patriot League. Her leadership, competitive tenacity, and intelligence are critical components to our team's success in our defensive system," said Troyan.
Lehigh will host the Colgate on Monday, March 11 at 6 p.m. as they welcome the Raiders to Stabler Arena for a Patriot League quarterfinal match.
