BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The two teams to go 3-0 over the first weekend of Patriot League play will meet for three games at Leadership Park this weekend as Lehigh hosts Bucknell. The Mountain Hawks will continue their 10-game home stand by hosting their first league series. Lehigh and Bucknell will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon and a single game Sunday, also beginning at noon. Sunday's game is scheduled to be broadcast on the Patriot League Network.

Lehigh opened its home schedule by splitting a doubleheader with Kent State on Wednesday. The Mountain Hawks won game one 5-2 before dropping the nightcap 5-0.

Junior Hannah Edwards went 3-for-4 and scored three runs in her return to the starting lineup while freshman Karsen O'Rourke was 3-for-3 with her first career RBI. Freshman Carley Barjaktarovich broke a 2-2 tie with a third-inning RBI single to jump-start a three-run frame.

In the circle, junior Parker Boyd allowed two runs on four hits in a complete-game effort with seven strikeouts to even her season record at 5-5.

In game two, a pair of Kent State pitchers limited Lehigh to just one hit, a single by freshman Jaelynn Chesson, while putting together five runs off freshman Gabriella Nori and senior Emily Sorem.

Chesson continues to lead Lehigh offensively with a .397 average, three home runs and 13 RBIs.

Lehigh opened league play with a three-game sweep at Lafayette last weekend. Sophomore Payton Alsobrooks went 8-for-12 at the plate to lead Lehigh, while Nori struck out 19 in 12 innings and did not allow an earned run.

Bucknell comes in at 13-15 overall and has not played since sweeping Colgate in three games last weekend in Lewisburg, Pa. Anna Gimmestad led the way, going 7-for-9 against the Raiders with two home runs, a double and nine RBIs. She leads Bucknell in batting (.341) and is second on the team in home runs (three) and RBIs (18).

Raeanne Geffert is Bucknell's top pitcher with a 7-8 record and 2.48 ERA in 104.1 innings.

Lehigh leads the all-time series versus Bucknell 93-44. The Bison won 3-of-5 meetings last year, winning 2-of-3 in Lewisburg and then beating Lehigh 3-1 in the opening round of the Patriot League Tournament. The Mountain Hawks came back the following day to eliminate the Bison 3-0 behind a three-hit shutout by Boyd.

Following the Bucknell series, Lehigh will host Saint Joseph's in a doubleheader Wednesday before welcoming Boston University for three games April 6-7.
