BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following the latest training camp for the U.S. Under-19 team this past weekend at Ohio State, Lehigh men's lacrosse sophomore Cole Kirst has made the latest roster cut, as announced on Wednesday. The roster was trimmed from 32 down to 26 players, with 23 ultimately being named to the final team that will compete in the Men's U19 World Championship from July 9-18 in Limerick, Ireland.

Kirst has made it through a process that began with 104 initial players trying out. The roster was trimmed to 50 then 32 and now 26. Kirst is one of just two (current or future) student-athletes from Patriot League schools among the 26.

Kirst enjoyed strong success during his freshman season at Lehigh, posting 12 points (eighth on the Mountain Hawks) behind nine goals and three assists. Kirst scored two goals on two separate occasions – on Mar. 9 vs. No. 17 Army West Point and Apr. 6 at No. 2 Loyola. He also had a goal and assist against archrival Lafayette and scored what proved to be Lehigh's final goal in a big 10-8 regular-season win over Boston University.
