FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Coming off their best offensive night of the season, the Lehigh women's basketball team will head out on the road for a Sunday afternoon matchup at Sacred Heart. Lehigh is 3-1 away from Stabler Arena this season.
 
The Mountain Hawks rallied for a 75-71 win over Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday evening, shooting 50 percent from the floor for the first time this season, and connecting on 53.5 percent of their three-pointers, their most made triples in a game since December 2010. Seniors Bernadette Devaney and Quinci Mann led the way with 20 points apiece and both set career-highs with six made three-pointers. Lehigh dished out 21 assists, their most since they recorded 24 against Bucknell in Feb. 26, 2014 with four different Mountain Hawks recorded at least four assists. Gena Grundhoffer added 12 points while shooting 50 percent and Camryn Buhr had a team-high six rebounds.
 
Mann's six three-pointers moved her into a tie for fourth on the school's all-time three-point list with 158, and moved her into the top five in scoring in the Patriot League this season with 14.4 points per game.
 
ALL-TIME VS. SACRED HEART
The Mountain Hawks and Pioneers will meet up for the 11th time in program history dating back to their first matchup on January 9, 1999, which the Mountain Hawks won by a score of 76-73. Lehigh holds a 6-4 edge in the all-time series.
 
The two teams have split the last four matchups between them. Lehigh has won two in a row in the series: a 68-62 win at Stabler Arena last season, and an 85-77 win in Fairfield in 2014.
 
SHU's Katherine Haines led all scorers with 20 points in last year's matchup at Stabler, shooting 8-for-11 overall and pulling down a team-high eight rebounds. Tykera Carter also scored in double figures with 13 points and a trio of three-pointers.
 
Lehigh's Gena Grundhoffer picked up her first career double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds in the win, while Cameryn Benz scored 10 points and Quinci Mann added nine. 
 
Lehigh is 3-2 against the Pioneers all-time at Stabler Arena and is 3-2 at the Pitt Center.
 
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Sacred Heart enters Sunday's matchup at 2-4 this season, and is coming off an 86-81 double overtime defeat to Hofstra on Thursday night. Sacred Heart and Lehigh have one common opponent this season. The Pioneers opened the season with a 69-64 loss at Monmouth, while Lehigh defeated Monmouth 75-57, also on the road.
 
After picking up a four-point win at Manhattan on Nov. 15, the Pioneers dropped a 70-62 decision at Harvard, before winning at Florida A&M and falling 101-52 at Florida State during a two-game Thanksgiving weekend trip to the Sunshine State.
 
SHU is averaging 66.2 points per game this season and has five players averaging in double figures, led by redshirt sophomore Candice Leatherwood at 17.3 ppg. Redshirt sophomore Katherine Haines, who scored 20 points against Lehigh last season, averages 14.0 ppg and a team-best 9.8 rebounds. Junior Erin Storck comes in at 13.8 ppg, Tykera Carter scores 11.0 per game and freshman Adrianne Hagood, who made her first career start against Hofstra, is scoring 10.8 ppg.
 
As a team, SHU is shooting 39.2 percent overall and 27.1 percent from three-point land. Haines (55.1 percent ) and Leatherwood (52.3 percent) are both shooting over 50 percent, while Storck (45.2) and Carter (43.4) both hitting at over 40 percent. Defensively, Haines lead the way with 9.8 rebounds and is tied for a team-best four total blocks. The Pioneers have struggled on the glass, accumulating a -9.7 rebounding margin. The Pioneers have outrebounded their opponents in their two wins, and have been outrebounded in their four losses.
 
On Thursday vs. Hofstra, Haines came off the bench to score 23 points on 11-of-17 shooting, along with 10 rebounds for the double-double. Leatherwood added 21 points on 7-for-11 from the field. Hofstra held a 55-36 edge on the boards, while connecting on 42 percent of their shots to SHU's 41 percent.
