BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team will look to snap a five-game losing skid on Thursday evening as the travel to Baltimore to take on Loyola (Md.).

Loyola (5-8, 1-1 PL) is coming off its first Patriot League win of the season on Monday evening at Lafayette with a five-point overtime win, after previously dropping their league opener last Friday at home to American, 60-45.

Lehigh (5-8, 0-2 PL) has suffered two close losses through its first two league games to Army West Point and Boston University. On Monday against Boston University, Lehigh held BU to no more than 11 points in each of the first three quarters, before surrendering a 16-point advantage with just over five minutes remaining and losing 69-64.

Junior Quinci Mann had a team-high 20 points, including a trio of three-pointers, Mae Williams tallied a career-high nine points to go with four rebounds, and Kayla Burton had eight points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Junior Taylor Campbell totaled six points and four rebounds with one steal. Freshmen Gena Grundhoffer and Cameryn Benz led the way with five rebounds each and Hannah Hedstrom had a game-high six assists.

Last Friday against Army, Bernadette Devaney set a career-high with 13 points, Mann added 13 points and Benz tallied 11 points and six rebounds as Army held off Lehigh late for a 75-71 win, handing Lehigh its only loss this season when scoring more than 70 points.

Kerry Kinek also had a strong game for Lehigh, picking up a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Loyola enters Thursday's matchup at 5-8 (1-1 PL). The team upended Lafayette 60-55 in overtime on Monday evening in Easton, Pa. Loyola previously fell to American in the league opener, 60-45.

At Lafayette, Carly Monzo tied the game late in regulation before Bri Betz-White ran off eight of Loyola's 11 points in overtime to secure their first league win of the season. Betz-White enters Thursday ranked fourth in the Patriot League with 14.5 points per game. Lauren Daugherty ranks second on the squad in both points (8.8) and rebounds (4.8) per game, while Alexis Gray (8.6) also comes in averaging over eight points per contest. Stephanie Karcz is pulling down a team-leading 5.3 rebounds, helping the team rank fourth in the Patriot League in rebounding margin (-1.9) and third scoring defense (59.8).

The Greyhounds were predicted to finish seventh in the Patriot League preseason poll, finishing 19 points ahead of eighth-place Lafayette and 34 points behind sixth-place Navy.

Lehigh is in the midst of its longest losing streak since it lost five in a row during the 2012-13 season. The Mountain Hawks have not lost six in a row since a seven game skid during the 2005-06 season. Lehigh's longest losing streak last season was three games.

On the flip side, three Patriot League teams have scored 30 in a quarter this season: American (30) vs. UMBC, Army West Point (32) vs. Mercy, and Boston University (37) at Lehigh.
