BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team returns to Stabler Arena after a two-game road trip to take on preseason Patriot League favorite Bucknell on Wedneday, presented by Come Ready Nutrition. Riding a seven game winning streak, the Bison enter the game fourth in the Patriot League in scoring at 65.2 points per game, just one spot ahead of Lehigh, who averages 65.0 ppg. The Bison also rank at the top of the league in several categories including scoring defense (56.9), free throw pct. (76.0), and in rebounding margin ( 8.3), where they are over six rebounds better than the next closest team. Lehigh will be looking to snap a seven game losing streak dating back to the beginning of December.

Lehigh fell short in all three of its contests last week, including 69-64 home loss to Boston University where they were outscored 37-17 in the fourth quarter. Freshman Gena Grundhoffer scored in double figures in both road games last week with 14 points and six rebounds at Loyola on Thursday and a team-best 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting at American on Saturday. Junior Quinci Mann also scored in double figures in both games, scoring 16 with a career-high six rebounds at Loyola and netting 10 more points at American. Freshman Camryn Buhr picked up career-highs on Saturday at American with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Bucknell tallied three wins last week, two of which came at home including a 73-67 overtime win against American and a 77-48 win over Holy Cross, their second-largest margin of victory this season. The Bison also grabbed a 60-56 road win at Army West Point on Jan. 2. Three of Bucknell's four league wins this year have been by six points or less.

SCOUTING THE BISON
Coming off a school-record 25 wins last season, reigning co-regular season champ (17-1) and preseason favorite Bucknell comes in as the only remaining unbeaten team (4-0) in Patriot League play. At 12-3 overall, all three of the Bison losses have come on the road at North Carolina (65-50), Elon (64-58) and Rutgers (57-53).

Bucknell has won their four PL matchups by an average of 10.5 points, but three of those matchups have been decided by six points or less, including a 73-67 OT win against American. The Bison are coming off a 77-48 win over Holy Cross on Sunday, their second largest margin of victory this season.

The Mountain Hawks and Bison have had three common opponents so far this season, with Lehigh going 1-2 against those teams, and Bucknell 3-0. Lehigh and Bucknell both defeated NJIT by 32 and 31 points, respectively, while Bucknell also collected wins over Army and American.

Lehigh is in the midst of its longest losing streak since the team was on a seven game skid during the 2005-06 season. The last time Lehigh lost eight games in a row was in the final eight games of the 1994-95 season. Lehigh's longest losing streak last season was three games.

Gena Grundhoffer has scored in double-digits in seven of her 15 games so far this season. She has scored 15 points on five occasions, including a trio of 17-point performances. She ranks second on the team with 10.1 ppg, leads the team (among active players) with 4.9 rebounds per game and holds a free throw pct. of .849, which is 50th in the nation.

NO REASON TO BOO-ER
Freshman Camryn Buhr is coming off a career game at American on Saturday, tallying season-bests with 10 points, nine rebounds, four field goals, and two blocks in a season-high 33 minutes.

'OLE RELIABLE
Junior Quinci Mann has scored in double digits in 12 of her 14 games this season, and scored at least 20 points in seven of those games. She has scored a season-high 23 points twice: 11/22 at Mount St. Mary's and 12/11 at California.

INCHING CLOSER TO THE MILESTONE
Quinci Mann enters Wednesday's game with 896 career points, just 104 shy of being the 18th player in program history to reach 1,000 points for her career. She is averaging 16.8 points per game this season, good enough for second in the Patriot League.

Lehigh holds a 1-8 record this year when trailing at halftime. Their lone win when losing at the half came against Delaware State on Nov. 16. Their only defeat when winning at halftime this year came on Jan. 2 vs. Boston U. The Mountain Hawks are 0-1 when tied at the half (Army).
Lehigh is also a mere 1-9 when losing the rebounding battle, with the one win coming over Delaware State.

Freshman point guard Hannah Hedstrom is currently tied for seventh in the Patriot League by averaging 3.2 assists per game. She is the only freshman ranked in the top 10 and is tied for the most assists in one game this season: nine against Delaware State on Nov. 16.

THE BIG QUARTER
Lehigh is the only team in the Patriot League to have allowed 30 points in a single quarter this season. This feat that has happened twice - the first quarter at Duquesne on Nov. 13 (30), and the fourth quarter against Boston University on Jan. 4 (37).
On the flip side, three Patriot League teams have scored 30 in a quarter this season: American (30) vs. UMBC, Army West Point (32) vs. Mercy, and Boston University (37) at Lehigh.

Lehigh's current seven-game skid spanned the entire month of December. It marked the first time Lehigh has finished a month winless (excluding March) since Nov. 2003 (0-4). Lehigh last had a winless December in 2002 (0-5) as part of a five game skid.
Lehigh went 0-1 in March '06 and 0-2 in March '13.

On Nov. 16, the Lehigh women's basketball program played host to Education Day against Delaware State in front of an announced crowd of 4,410. The number set a new Stabler Arena record for a women's basketball game, surpassing the previous benchmark of 4,078 which was set on Dec. 2, 2014 against Hampton. It was also the largest crowd in the Patriot League this season.
