Mountain Hawks Head to Seton Hall for Saturday Tilt

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Coming off back-to-back 1-0 losses, the Lehigh men's soccer team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday when the Mountain Hawks travel to Seton Hall. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, N.J.
Last Friday night, Lehigh surrendered a goal to Delaware in the 43rd minute on a Blue Hen corner kick, which held up as the lone goal of the contest. Delaware, now ranked 22nd in the nation, out-shot the Mountain Hawks 16-11, with a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Blue Hens also produced a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Lehigh goalkeeper Jacob Gottwald registered six saves for the second time this season, including four in the second half during his 90 minutes of work. Mark Forrest led the squad with three total shots, while Oscar Greene and Justin Worley combined for the team's two shots on goal.
Lehigh will face a Seton Hall team that is off to a 0-2-1 start to the season and has found the back of the net just once this year. The Pirates lost their season opener, 2-0, to Stony Brook before losing to UMass-Lowell, 1-0, in overtime and then playing to a 1-1 draw with Penn.
The Mountain Hawks find themselves in unfamiliar territory as they have been shutout twice this season after being held scoreless just three times in all of last season. Lehigh is primed to break out of that slump as the Pirates have not held an opponent scoreless this season as they have surrendered four goals through three games.
Lehigh owns a 1-1 all-time record against Seton Hall. The last time the two teams met was on Sept. 3, 1997, which resulted in a 2-0 win for the Mountain Hawks.
Following Saturday's game, Lehigh will travel back to northern New Jersey on Tuesday to face Fairleigh Dickinson at 7 p.m.
