
Mountain Hawks Hit the Road for Midweek Match at FDU

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's soccer team will look to end a three-match skid when the Mountain Hawks travel to Teaneck, N.J. for a matchup with Fairleigh Dickinson Tuesday night. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start with live video available on NEC Front Row.
Lehigh is coming off a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime loss to Seton Hall last Saturday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks fought back from a 3-0 deficit in the second half behind three-straight goals by sophomore Mark Forrest. In the 78th minute, Forrest finished a one-timer on a feed from junior David Zipkin for his third goal of the day and second career hat trick to force overtime. In overtime, Seton Hall drew a foul in the box and converted a penalty kick in the 99th minute for the win. With the loss, Lehigh drops to 1-3 on the year.
In defeat, Lehigh goalkeeper Jacob Gottwald accumulated six saves for the second time this season, including four in the second half. Gottwald increased his saves total to 19 through four matches this season.
Fairleigh Dickinson enters Tuesday's contest with a mark of 2-3. The Knights are fresh off a 2-1 win against Iona at home. FDU's first victory this season came in convincing fashion as the Knights beat Howard 4-0 while suffering 1-0 losses to NJIT, Bradley, and Evansville.
Fairleigh Dickinson leads the all-time battle with Lehigh with a record of 7-6-4. Lehigh has taken the last two matchups with a 4-0 victory in 2014 and a 3-0 win last fall.
Following this match, the Mountain Hawks will return home to host Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon. The match will begin a t 1 p.m. with live video available on the Patriot League Network.
