Men’s Track and Field Places 25 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Twenty-five members of the Lehigh men's track and field team have been named to the Patriot League's Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league on Friday.

Three 4.0 GPAs led the way for the Mountain Hawks during the 2016 Spring semester, featuring James Clements (Computer Science and Business), Robert Iulo (Biology) and Kyle Leonard (Electrical Engineering).

Lehigh's two Patriot League champions Trevor Knowles (indoor heptathlon and outdoor decathlon), and Lucas Warning (outdoor shot put) both made the honor roll.

For seniors Andrew Culkin and Evan Hardy, this is the fourth time in their Lehigh careers they have been named to the honor roll. Juniors Daniel Boardman, James Clements, Ryan Cooney, Robert Iulo, Kyle Leonard, Robert Smith and Lucas Warning all make the list for the third time in their careers.

Of Lehigh's 25 selections, 13 earned a GPA of 3.6 or better to qualify for the University's Dean's List.

Overall, Lehigh's 25 student-athletes ties them with Boston University for the fifith-most members in the Patriot League, behind Navy (38), Holy Cross (37) and Bucknell (27).

To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.2 GPA or higher during the spring 2016 semester and compete in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
