GETTING TO KNOW EVAN
Nickname: Hevan Eardy
Why did you choose Lehigh? I chose Lehigh for its challenging and rewarding academics, competitive distance program, and prestigious reputation as an engineering school. I also chose Lehigh for its scenic campus, close knit campus community, and great team atmosphere. Lehigh is fairly close to home and was the perfect fit for me. Looking back, it was the best decision of my life.
What’s your favorite thing about Lehigh? I feel like I know a large part of the student body. Everyone is so friendly here and it’s easy to make new friends and meet people.
Major & Why: Mechanical Engineering. I have always been interested in how machines work. In Lehigh’s intro engineering course I took the mechanical engineering lab and got to build a lego robot that detects and follows a black line drawn on a floor. I really enjoyed making it and haven’t looked back since.
