Lehigh is in the midst of its longest winning streak of the season. Prior to Lafayette, Lehigh beat American on Feb. 6 (72-49) and Loyola on Feb. 3 (71-66). The Mountain Hawks have won four-of-five games overall with the one loss being a tough last-second defeat at Boston University. With Lehigh's win at Lafayette Monday, the squad improved to 3-2 on the road in league play, with the two losses being by just one at Loyola and two at Boston University.

Junior Tim Kempton led the way on Monday with his 26th-career double-double, recording 11 points and nine rebounds in the first half alone. He finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 9-of-10 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. Kempton also blocked a game-high three shots, accounting for half of Lehigh's six blocks. Senior Jesse Chuku had two blocks, both coming in a key second-half stretch, to reach 100 in his career. Offensively, Chuku scored 18 points (within one of a season high) while adding five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Chuku shot 7-of-10 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range.

A strong team effort saw sophomore Kahron Ross score 16 points and dish eight assists. Junior Austin Price tallied 15 points, a career-high seven assists and career-high tying five steals. A back-and-forth first half saw Lehigh trail for much of the half, but the Mountain Hawks hung around despite Lafayette's 60 percent shooting in the first 20 minutes. Lehigh ended up coming back from a halftime deficit to win for the first time this season, due in large part to the team's defense down the stretch. After the Leopards hit two free throws with 5:48 on the clock, they wouldn't score again until there were 27 seconds remaining. In the end, the Mountain Hawks didn't allow a field goal for the game's final 7:58 as they won at Lafayette for a second straight season.

Lehigh shot a season-high 57.1 percent from the field (32-of-56), the team's highest percentage since shooting 58.8 percent (30-of-51) vs. Rider on Nov. 12, 2013. It marked the sixth time this season the Mountain Hawks have exceeded 50 percent, also the second straight game and fourth time in the last seven games it's happened. The win moved Lehigh into a four-way tie for second place in the league standings. Bucknell is in first place at 10-2 while Lehigh, Loyola, Navy and Boston University are each 7-5 and Colgate is 7-6. The Mountain Hawks' seven league victories have come by an average of 13.4 points and they have only trailed for a total of 19:15 over those seven contests.

Bucknell has impressed in Patriot League play, standing 10-2 with losses to just Colgate and American. The Bison enter winners of five of their last six games, most recently winning at Holy Cross, 77-52. Preseason All-League honoree Chris Hass leads the team and is tied for second in the league (with Kempton) in scoring (17.4 points per game). Nana Foulland is second with his 12.4 scoring average to go with a team-leading 6.6 rebounds per game. They're followed by Zach Thomas (9.9 scoring average) and Stephen Brown (9.2). Brown leads the team and is third in the Patriot League in assists (5.2 per game). Bucknell's 79.1 points per game is second in the league.

Bucknell has won three of the last four games in the all-time series, winning this season's earlier meeting, 82-76. The Mountain Hawks had previously won four-of-five from 2012-14, including a 2012 Patriot League Championship victory. Lehigh has won three of the last five games at Bucknell overall, including three straight from 2012-13. The series has been extremely close as of late with 10 of the last 11 games being decided by seven points or less, the lone exception being last season's dominant 17-point Lehigh victory. Bucknell is Lehigh's second-most played rival of all-time, only behind Lafayette.

Following Wednesday's game, Lehigh returns home to host Holy Cross next Monday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in a nationally-televised game on CBS Sports Network.
