Last time out, Lehigh won its sixth straight game, using the three-point shot to top Navy, 77-74. In a hard-fought, highly-contested game, the Mountain Hawks knocked down 14-of-23 threes, their most made treys since Nov. 12, 2013 against Rider when ironically, Lehigh also finished 14-of-23. Senior Jesse Chuku led the three-point barrage by hitting 6-of-7 from long range. He also knocked down all four free throw attempts to finish with a season-high 22 points, his second-career 20-point game. Chuku's six made treys were also a career high while it tied a season high by any Lehigh player; junior Austin Price also knocked down six (in eight attempts) at Holy Cross.

Sophomore Kahron Ross took over in the second half, scoring 20 of his game-high 24 points over the final 20 minutes. The 24 points tied a career high for the second consecutive Wednesday (exactly one week after scoring 24 at Bucknell). Ross finished the game shooting 8-of-11 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from three-point range. Over his last four games, Ross has averaged of 20.3 points and 5.5 assists per game while shooting 56 percent from the field (26-of-46) and 67 percent from three-point range (8-of-12).

Junior Tim Kempton added 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists on Wednesday, just missing his fourth straight double-double. Freshman Kyle Leufroy posted 10 points and five rebounds as well.  In the end, Lehigh beat Navy for the 12th time in its last 13 tries. The win proved critical as the Mountain Hawks remained in a tie for second place in the league standings (with Boston University) and move one game ahead of Navy in fourth. The season series also evened at one.

Wednesday marked the third straight game Lehigh has won when trailing at the half, this after beginning the season 0-10. Navy led for most of the first half and into the beginning stages of the second. The Mountain Hawks used a 7-0 run, capped off by a Ross layup with 13:39 remaining, to take a 47-45 lead, and Lehigh wouldn't trail the rest of the way. Navy responded to pull even at 52, 54 and 56, but the Mountain Hawks scored 16 of the next 21 points to open a 72-61 lead, which proved too much for the Midshipmen to overcome.

Sunday will mark the second time in a two-week span that Lehigh and Lafayette will meet. Every game proves large for the Mountain Hawks, who have three regular season games remaining. At this point, Lehigh can still finish anywhere from first to seventh place. The Mountain Hawks are tied with Boston University for second, one game behind Bucknell in first. Those two teams play on Sunday.

Lafayette is in the midst of a tough season, standing 5-21 overall and 2-13 in Patriot League play as the Leopards are in the midst of a 10-game losing streak. Lafayette has lost some tough games, including last time out at American in overtime, the team's third overtime defeat during its losing skid. Point guard Nick Lindner leads the team in scoring (13.8 points per game) and assists (4.1 per contest) while Matt Klinewski is averaging 13.5 points, Bryce Scott comes in at 12.5 per game and Monty Boykins at 10.7. Klinewski leads the way in rebounds with 5.2 per game. The Leopards have scored 71.1 points per game (fourth in the league), but are giving up 80.7 (last).

Lehigh and Lafayette have gone back-and-forth over the recent years. The teams have split the last two season series as the Mountain Hawks are vying for their first sweep of the regular season series since the 2011-12 campaign. Despite Lehigh's Feb. 8 win, the Leopards have still won five of the last eight meetings overall. The 2014-15 meetings were both close, with the Mountain Hawks winning at Lafayette 75-71 before the Leopards returned the favor in Stabler Arena, 63-61. The long-time rivals first met in 1901-92, a 46-13 Lehigh victory. Lehigh won the first four games with Lafayette's first win coming in 1914-15. Lafayette currently leads the all-time series, 139-83 in the most-played opponent for both schools.

Following Sunday's game, the Mountain Hawks hit the road for their final two games of the regular season, traveling to Colgate on Wednesday (7 p.m.) and Army West Point on Saturday (12 p.m.).
