ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Junior Jacob Moyar helped highlight day two of the Patriot League Championships for the Lehigh men's swimming and diving team by setting a new school record and hitting a NCAA B-Cut time in the 200 individual medley. Classmate Jamal Willis added a runner-up performance in the 50 yard freestyle to help lift Lehigh into sole possession of fifth place after two days of competition.

Moyar began his day by placing third in the prelims with a new school record and NCAA B-cut time of 1:48.68. The only Mountain Hawk to make it into the finals, Moyar kept the momentum going, eclipsing his prelim time and finishing third in the A-Final with another B-cut and school record time of 1:48.67. The previous school record of 1:50.78 had been on the books since 2005.

Willis followed that up with a podium performance of his own, taking second place in the A-Final of the 50 yard freestyle. Willis touched the wall in 20.23 seconds, marking the third year in a row he has finished runner-up in the 50 freestyle sprint at the league championships. Teammate Justin White was not far behind, coming in tied for fourth place in 20.37 seconds. Sophomore Zach Tieke also had a strong performance in the B-Final of the sprint, finishing tied for fourth in the consolation (T-11th overall) in 20.83 seconds.

To wrap up the day for the Brown and White, Jimmy Davey, Jake Hassel, Moyar and White represented Lehigh in the 400 medley relay, tallying a seventh place overall finish, taking a time of 3:23.00.

In the 200 IM prelims, Hassel (28th/1:54.61), Justin Kostelnik (29th/1:54.90), Davey (30th/1:55.41), Matt Carducci (33rd/1:56.19), Matt Wong (52nd/2:02.71) and Connor Guilfoyle (57th/2:11.56) all competed for Lehigh.

Ryan Morgan competed in the prelims of the 500 freestyle, finishing 23rd overall with a new personal-record time of 4:43.64. Tristan Stritzel (21.95) and Kian O'Brien (22.02) finished back-to-back in the prelims of the 50 free, placing 38th and 39th, respectively.

Action resumes tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy. The morning session will feature the prelims of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back, with the finals taking place during the evening session at 6 p.m. Visit the Patriot League's Championship Central Page for up to date schedules and information.
