BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Lehigh women's basketball team will return to the friendly confines of Stabler Arena for the first time in over a month Wednesday night when the Mountain Hawks welcome Loyola for the Patriot League home opener. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live locally on Service Electric 2 Sports and online for free via the Patriot League Network.

Lehigh carries an 8-5 overall record and 1-1 mark in league play into Wednesday night's meeting with Loyola (5-8, 2-0 PL). The Mountain Hawks dropped their league opener at preseason favorite Army (63-39), but rebounded nicely with a 73-66 win at Boston University Saturday. Lehigh has played its last five games on the road and will look to improve its 4-2 home record Wednesday.

Senior Elizabeth Jordan drained five first-half three-pointers to give Lehigh an early cushion Saturday at BU before the Mountain Hawks held off a late Terrier rally to claim the wire-to-wire 73-66 victory. Jordan's team-best 17 points came from a 5-for-7 showing from downtown. Sophomore Quinci Mann followed with 16 points. Junior Lexi Martins recorded her tenth double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Seniors Kerry Kinek and Elizabeth Sharlow both dished a team-best four assists.

Lehigh has outscored in opponents by an average of 8.9 points per game this season, while outrebounding competitors by 7.6 boards per game. Martins leads the team with 14.7 points and 14.4 rebounds per game. Mann follows with 13.5 points per game, while Kinek has contributed 13.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest.

Loyola is one of three Patriot League teams that has yet to lose a league game as the Greyhounds carry a 2-0 league mark and 5-8 overall record into Wednesday's game. Loyola will be playing its first league road game after capturing home wins over American (52-46) and Lafayette (66-65).

Colleen Marshall scored the game-winning layup off an inbound pass from Steph Smith with one second remaining Saturday to lift the Greyhounds past Lafayette, 66-65, and secure the first 2-0 start to Patriot League play in program history. Marshall led Loyola with a game-high 22 points, while Bri Betz-White tacked on 13. Lisa Mirarchi tied a career high with eight assists and Jeneh Perry led Loyola with seven rebounds.

The Greyhounds have scored an average of 59.0 points per game in their two league contests compared to Loyola's season-long average of 55.2. Loyola has also held its league opponents to 55.5 points per contest compared to the season mark of 64.1 points per game. Loyola has shot 42.6 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from three-point range and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line in its two Patriot League contests.

Marshall leads the team with 14.6 points per game and 32 assists, while Betz-White follows with 11.5 points per contest. Perry has chipped in 9.8 points per game to go along with a team-best mark of 8.1 rebounds per contest.

Lehigh and Loyola will meet for the 11th time in program history Wednesday and the Mountain Hawks will be looking to claim their second-straight win over the Greyhounds. The teams split last season's meetings, with the home team winning each contest.

The Mountain Hawks got off to a quick start and were able to hold off several Loyola rallies to earn a 75-61 win in the most recent meeting on Feb. 7, 2015 in Stabler Arena. Martins recorded her 15th double-double of the season with a game-high 21 points and ten rebounds. Kinek chipped in ten points and five rebounds, while Kayla Burton followed with seven points and three assists. Loyola was led by Perry with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Lehigh held Loyola to a 32.8 percent (22-for-67) clip from the field and 22.7 percent (5-for-22) mark from downtown. The Mountain Hawks held a 42-33 rebound advantage and scored 44 of their 75 points in the paint.
