BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off perhaps its strongest all-around effort of the season, the Lehigh men's basketball team looks to ride the momentum into a home matchup against Navy on Wednesday night. Tipoff in Stabler Arena is set for 7 p.m. The Midshipmen are tied for first in the Patriot League standings, with the Mountain Hawks just two games back. On Saturday, Lehigh earned a wire-to-wire 87-66 win at Holy Cross Saturday led by an all-around team effort.

All three of the Mountain Hawks' wins this season have been wire-to-wire. Lehigh never trailed against Boston University, at American or at Holy Cross on its way to victory. On Saturday, Lehigh jumped out to an early 15-4 lead, the Crusaders had one 10-2 spurt at the end of the first half to pull within nine after 20 minutes of play, but the Mountain Hawks erased any doubt in the second half. After Holy Cross pulled within eight, Lehigh responded by extending its lead to 16, eventually reaching as high as 23. The Mountain Hawks never trailed by any fewer than 18 points over the game's final 13:49.

Junior Austin Price finished the afternoon with 22 points behind 7-of-10 shooting and a sizzling 6-of-8 from three-point range. He became the first Mountain Hawk to knock down six threes in a game since C.J. McCollum was 6-of-10 against Bryant on Dec. 29, 2012. Junior Tim Kempton added 20 points and seven rebounds on 7-of-8 shooting. Freshman Kyle Leufroy scored 13 points (11 in the second half) while grabbing a career-high nine rebounds to help him earn Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for the third time. Senior Devon Carter scored a career-high 10 points (eight in the second half) while sophomore Kahron Ross had seven points, a career-high tying six rebounds and four assists. Senior Jesse Chuku scored the game's first four points and finished the game with a career-high five assists while classmate John Ross Glover scored six points and sophomore Tyler Jenkins scored five.

Lehigh finished the afternoon shooting a season-best 55.9 percent (33-of-59) from the field, marking the Mountain Hawks' highest field goal percentage since Nov. 12, 2013 when Lehigh shot 58.8 percent (30-of-51) in a win against Rider. It also marked the third time this season the Mountain Hawks have eclipsed 50 percent shooting from the floor. Saturday was Lehigh's largest margin of victory at Holy Cross in school history and just the third time in school history (home or away) that Lehigh has defeated Holy Cross by 20 or more points. The previous wins at Holy Cross came by two, one, 18 and seven points. The victory was also the 150th in head coach Brett Reed's career.

The Mountain Hawks return home to face a red-hot Navy team that enters in a first-place tie at 5-1 in Patriot League play. The Midshipmen are 14-5 on the season. Navy will be vying for its sixth straight win overall while Lehigh searches for its 12th straight win against the Mids.

Midshipmen are receiving votes in the Mid-Major Top 25 and one vote in the AP Top 25. Navy is led by a veteran group, including three seniors in the starting lineup: Will Kelly, Tilman Dunbar and Kendall Knorr. Kelly is averaging 9.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He by far and away leads the Patriot League (and is ninth in the nation) in blocks with 55; Kevin Ferguson of Army West Point is next with 26 blocks. Dunbar averages 9.0 points and 3.3 assists while Knorr comes in at 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest. Shawn Anderson leads the team in scoring (12.7 average) while Jace Hogan also averages double figures (10.3) and leads the team in rebounding (5.8).

Lehigh has earned 11 straight wins in the all-time series with Navy spanning the last five seasons. The stretch has helped the Mountain Hawks pull within 43-28 in the all-time series. Last season, Lehigh earned wins of 61-47 and 59-53 over the Midshipmen, one season after slim two point and seven point victories. Navy's last win came on Feb. 10, 2010 in Stabler Arena by an 85-78 final. The Midshipmen swept the season series during Lehigh's 2009-10 Patriot League Championship campaign. The teams first met in 1910-11, a 31-24 Navy victory. Lehigh's first win was in 1925-26 by a 25-23 final.

The Mountain Hawks will head to Lafayette on Saturday to face the archrival Leopards at 2 p.m. Lehigh returns home next Wednesday (Jan. 27) to host Colgate at 7 p.m.
