BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh softball team will look to extend its six-game winning streak and strengthen its position for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament when the Mountain Hawks host Army West Point for three key league games at Leadership Park.  All three games will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network. Lehigh will honor its senior class prior to game one of Saturday's doubleheader.

The Mountain Hawks christened their new complex with a 7-1 victory over Villanova on Wednesday. Junior Morgan Decker went 2-for-2 with three RBI including the first run batted in and the first home run at Leadership Park to lead Lehigh. Senior Emily Bausher allowed just two hits in five innings while striking out nine and walking one to earn the win and improve to 16-4 on the season. The nine strikeouts gave Bausher 613 for her career and moved her past Emily Ling '05 into second place on Lehigh's career strikeout list.

Lehigh comes into this weekend's series at 31-6 overall and a Patriot League-best 11-1. The Mountain Hawks lead Colgate by two games in the league standings with both teams having six league games remaining. Lehigh and Colgate will end the regular season with a three-game series in Hamilton, N.Y.

Junior Alexis Watanabe has continued her hot hitting as she still sits atop the Patriot League in batting average at .458. Freshman Nicole Yozzo doesn't trail far behind as she sits third with a .405 average. Yozzo recorded the first hit, an infield single, and scored the first run at Leadership Park on Wednesday. Bausher leads the Patriot League in ERA (1.38), opponents' batting average (.198), strikeouts (150), and wins (16).

Army West Point enters this weekend with a mark of 21-22-1 overall and 8-7 in the Patriot League. The Black Knights, who are battling for a Patriot League Tournament berth will conclude their league regular season schedule this weekend. Five of Army West Point's eight league wins have come away from home with three wins at Boston University and two at Lafayette.

Junior Kasey McCravey leads Army West Point at the plate. She leads the Patriot League in multiple categories including hits (60), total bases (95), walks (22), sac flies (3), and stolen bases (26). Sophomore pitcher Caroline Smith has accumulated 11 wins over her 136.2 innings pitched this season.

Lehigh swept Army West Point in a three game series last year at West Point but the Black Knights avenged the loss with a 5-1 win in nine innings in the opening game of the Patriot League Tournament.

The series begins with a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon from Leadership Park. Prior to game one, Lehigh will recognize its four-member senior class that includes Bausher, shortstop Emma Capetz, catcher Brandi Hawkins and first baseman Cassie Waggy. Sunday's single game will also begin at noon.

Following this weekend's series, the Mountain Hawks will return to action on Wednesday with a non-league doubleheader at Saint Joseph's before closing out the regular season with three games at Colgate May 2-3.
