BETHLEHEM, Pa. –The Lehigh men's tennis team will open up Patriot League play this weekend against Navy and Loyola. The Mountain Hawks will try to bounce back from a loss earlier this week to Temple. Lehigh will host Navy on Saturday (11 a.m.) inside the Lewis Tennis Center, where Lehigh holds an 8-2 mark this season. The Mountain Hawks will travel to Baltimore, Md. to take on Loyola Sunday at 1 p.m.

In their recent matchup with Temple, the Mountain Hawks won the doubles point, but surrendered the first five singles flights as the Owls battled back to earn the victory. The defeat dropped Lehigh's record to 9-6 on the year and concluded non-conference competition for the 2015 campaign.

Junior Jeremy Kochman and sophomore Ethan Bogard lead the Mountain Hawks with 9-5 singles records. Kochman has moved up to the No. 2 singles spot while Bogard plays No. 5. Senior Ben Gilman and Kochman have paced Lehigh's doubles with an 8-4 mark at the top flight.

Navy will look to overcome its recent struggles when they travel to Bethlehem on Saturday. After starting the season by winning 13 of their first 16, the Mids took a trip to California where they played five matches in seven days. Navy failed to pick up any wins but faced strong opponents including Arizona and Fresno State. Navy will take on Lafayette on Friday in its Patriot League opener. Last season, Navy defeated Lehigh 4-3 in Annapolis

Loyola comes into Sunday's match with a mark of 8-4 and a 2-1 record in Patriot League play. The Greyhounds picked up Patriot League victories against Holy Cross and Lafayette while suffering their only loss to Army. Loyola is coming off a 5-2 win over La Salle on Thursday and will host Colgate and Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday before Lehigh visits on Sunday. Last year's matchup against Loyola was cancelled due the weather but in 2012, Lehigh defeated the Greyhounds 6-1.

The Loyola match begins a stretch of four straight road matches for the Mountain Hawks before returning home to host Lafayette in the regular season finale on April 13.
