BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Lehigh men's soccer team will travel to American Saturday for the regular-season finale with important playoff seeding implications on the line. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. from Reeves Field and free video will be available on the Patriot League Network.

The Mountain Hawks have already secured a Patriot League Tournament berth and carry a 4-3-1 league record and 10-5-2 overall mark into Saturday's contest. Lehigh currently sits in fourth place in the league standings with 13 points. Colgate (18 points), Boston University (17) and American (16) control the top three spots, while Army West Point (12), Navy (12) and Bucknell (9) are still in playoff contention but have not clinched berths yet. The Mountain Hawks would secure the No. 3 seed in the tournament and a chance to host a quarterfinal game should Lehigh beat American. If Lehigh-American ends in a tie or a Lehigh loss, results from other games in the league will be needed to determine seeds.

Lehigh is in the midst of a five-game unbeaten streak and is coming off a 1-1 double-overtime draw against Bucknell last Saturday. Junior Gianfranco Giammatteo scored the Lehigh's goal in the ninth minute before the Bison tied it in the 52nd minute. Senior Jamie Luchini anchors the Mountain Hawk offense with a team-high 20 points behind seven goals and six assists. Freshman Mark Forrest follows with 19 points on eight goals and three assists. Sophomore keeper Joe Bogan holds an impressive 9-2-2 record in goal to go along with 59 saves, a 0.89 goals against average and a 0.819 save percentage.

American enters Saturday's regular-season finale with a 12-4-2 overall record and 5-2-1 mark in Patriot League play. The Eagles are on a seven-match unbeaten streak, with six of those seven being wins. American hasn't allowed a goal during its seven-game unbeaten streak and has outscored its opponents 12-0 during the time frame. The Eagles' last loss came on Oct. 3 when American fell 1-0 to Boston University.

Liam Robley has tallied a team-high 16 points behind four goals and eight assists, while Joel Hart follows with 14 points (six goals and two assists). Seven Eagles have secured ten or more points this season in American's balanced offensive attack. Keeper Dylan Hobert leads the Patriot League in shutouts (10) and goals against average (0.65).

Nationally-ranked American visited the Ulrich Sports Complex for the Patriot League opener last season and a pair of goals from current senior Brian Vail helped Lehigh to a 2-1 win over the Eagles. American leads the all-time series 12-5-4.

The Patriot League Tournament will get underway Tuesday evening. The quarterfinal contests feature the No. 6 seed at the No. 3 seed and the No. 5 seed at the No. 4 seed. The top seed from the final regular-season standings will host the semifinal and championship rounds Friday and Sunday.
