BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off an impressive road win at archrival Lafayette, the Lehigh men's basketball team travels to Bucknell on Wednesday eying its fourth straight win. Opening tipoff in Sojka Pavilion is set for 8 p.m. and will be televised by the American Sports Network. The game can be seen around the country, including in the Lehigh Valley on WFMZ 69.4 (Service Electric Channel 108) and in the Philadelphia area on the Comcast Network (Service Electric Channel 27). Saturday featured a tremendously balanced effort as five different players scored double-figure points (for the first time since Dec. 6 at LIU Brooklyn). Eight different Mountain Hawks knocked down one three-pointer apiece as Lehigh finished 52 percent (8-of-14) from behind the arc. Included was the first made three-pointer (on the first-career attempt) of sophomore Tim Kempton. Kempton finished the game with 11 points and ten rebounds for his tenth double-double of the season (and 16th of his career). Sophomore Austin Price led the team with 16 points, 14 coming in the second half on 4-of-4 shooting and 5-of-5 from three-point range. Price knocked down two clutch free throws in the final seconds to give Lehigh a two-possession lead as the Leopards never had the ball down the stretch with a chance to tie.

Price was recognized on Monday with honorable mention laurels on the Patriot League weekly honor roll. Freshman Brandon Alston earned Rookie of the Week honors, becoming the second Mountain Hawk (along with Kahron Ross) to win the award this season. Ross has earned the honor three times. Alston scored ten points against the Leopards, one game after tallying a team-high 14 points vs. Navy. Also reaching double-figure points was junior Justin Goldsborough, who had 12 points and six rebounds, while Ross tallied ten points and four assists.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak at Lafayette as the Mountain Hawks improved to 6-5 on the road this season, which includes six wins in their last nine road games. Lehigh shot better than 50 percent from the floor for the third time this season and first time since Nov. 26 at DePaul. The other game was the season opener against Villanova. The Mountain Hawks contained the Patriot League's top scoring offense as the Leopards shot 41 percent from the field and just 32 percent from three-point range. Lehigh held Lafayette's leading three-point shooter Joey Ptasinski, who entered with more than a 50 percent conversion rate, without a made three (on five attempts). The Leopards didn't score more than five straight points all afternoon.

Bucknell is 11-10 overall and 6-2 in the Patriot League, good for a first place tie with Colgate. The Bison have won four straight games, beating Navy, Army, Loyola and Boston University. Bucknell's two league defeats have been to Colgate and Holy Cross. The Bison are 7-2 at Sojka Pavilion compared to 4-8 away from home. Chris Hass has been a steady force offensively, owning a 16.9 scoring average to go with 3.4 assists per game. Freshman and two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week Nana Foulland is second with 8.8 points while leading the way with 5.3 rebounds per contest. J.C. Show is next with a 7.3 scoring average while John Azzinaro averages 6.4 points per game. In total, nine different players have started at least one game this season; Hass and Foulland are the only two to start all 21 thus far.

Bucknell holds a 99-63 lead in the all-time series, but the Mountain Hawks have won four of the last six meetings. That run began with a thrilling 56-53 win at Bucknell on Feb. 16, 2012 as C.J. McCollum hit a game-winning three-pointer with time winding down. Lehigh followed just a few weeks later with an 82-77 victory to win the 2012 Patriot League Championship. The Mountain Hawks then won at Bucknell for a third time in less than a calendar year when they defeated the Bison 65-62 on Jan. 23, 2013 despite having lost McCollum to injury just weeks earlier. Last year's games were extremely close as Lehigh won 66-63 at home while Bucknell was victorious 65-61 in Sojka Pavilion.

The Mountain Hawks have enjoyed success at Sojka Pavilion in their history, owning a 5-8 record which includes a win in Bucknell's first-ever game in the facility on Jan. 15, 2003, along with the Patriot League Title Game victory on Mar. 7, 2012.

Lehigh will return home for two straight games as the Mountain Hawks host Boston University on Saturday (1 p.m.) before welcoming Army next Wednesday (7 p.m.).
