BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Lehigh women's basketball team looks to start Patriot League play 2-0 for the first time in six years when the Mountain Hawks host Boston University Saturday inside Stabler Arena. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and the contest can be viewed locally on Service Electric 2 Sports or for free online via the Patriot League Network.

Lehigh enters Sunday's contest with a 9-2 overall record and 1-0 Patriot League mark. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a big 86-68 win at Colgate in Wednesday's league opener. Five Mountain Hawks scored in double-figures to help Lehigh to a season-high 86 points.

Sophomore Lexi Martins led the way with her eighth double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Senior Katie O'Reilly followed with 12 points and a season-best eight rebounds while junior Kerry Kinek also finished with 12 points, ten of which came in the second half. Sophomore Kiernan McCloskey chipped in a season-high ten points in addition to junior Elizabeth Sharlow's ten tallies. Junior Amina Affini tallied a season-high nine points to go along with three boards and two assists. Senior Sarah Williams led the team with four assists.

Lehigh enters Saturday's game ranking first in the league in points per game (76.4) and field goal percentage (48.0). Martins leads the squad with 16 points per game and a league-leading 10.5 rebounds per contest.

Boston University holds a 3-9 overall record and 1-0 league mark. The Terriers will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak and pick up their first win since Nov. 9 when BU beat Stephen F. Austin 62-57.

BU suffered a 71-48 home loss to Holy Cross in the team's Patriot League opener Wednesday. Holy Cross began its attack right from the opening tipoff, as it exploded on a 23-7 run over the first 11:43 of the contest to give it the 16-point lead. Boston University would not get any closer the remainder of the game.

BU freshman Kara Sheftic scored a career-high 17 points to go along with a personal-best four blocks and six rebounds. Meghan Green also scored in double-figures, picking up 10 points including eight in the second half.

Turnovers were the Terriers' Achilles heel against the Crusaders. BU committed 20, which translated into 26 points for Holy Cross (5-9) while the Terriers (3-9) only scored nine points off of the Crusaders' 15 miscues.

Lehigh and second-year Patriot League member Boston University have met five times in the past. The home team won each of last season's contests.

Lehigh picked up its first-ever win over BU on Feb. 1, 2014 inside Stabler Arena, 67-54. The Mountain Hawk defense allowed a season-low 54 points from the Terriers, as BU finished the game shooting 32.1 percent (18-for-56) from the field, 27.3 percent (6-for-22) from three-point range and just 52.2 percent (12-for-23) from the charity stripe. Lehigh shot 40.0 percent (24-for-60) from the floor and converted 16 of its 24 free throw attempts.

Sharlow tallied her second career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Williams tallied 12 points and a team-leading six assists, while Kinek posted 11 points.
