BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With the start of Patriot League play on the horizon, the Lehigh men's tennis team will play its final two non-league matches of the season this weekend. The Mountain Hawks will host Temple on Thursday before visiting Saint Joseph's on Sunday.

Lehigh bounced back from two losses before spring break to post a pair of victories this past weekend. The Mountain Hawks downed Villanova 6-1 before edging Niagara 4-3 in a five-and-a-half hour battle. Lehigh enters Thursday's match with Temple at 8-4 with 11 of the 12 matches played at home.

Sophomore Jeremy Kochman continues to lead the Mountain Hawks with eight singles victories and he has teamed with junior Ben Gilman to go 8-3 in doubles action as well. Lehigh has also received strong contributions from its freshman class with Tyler Hansen winning the clinching match against Niagara and Ethan Bogard posting a 6-2 singles mark.

Temple enters Thursday's match at 4-10. The Owls followed up a four-match win streak with losses at Penn and Binghamton in their two most recent matches. Lehigh defeated Temple 6-1 last year at the Lewis Tennis Center, where Thursday's match will also take place.

On Sunday, Lehigh will play the Saint Joseph's Hawks in Philadelphia, Pa. at 1 p.m.  The Hawks' have a strong season record of 8-2 that includes a win in its Atlantic 10 opener over Saint Bonaventure last week. Saint Joseph's has won seven straight matches after dropping two of its first three to Navy and Xavier early in the season. Last year, Lehigh defeated the Hawks 5-2 inside the Lewis Tennis Center.

Lehigh's stretch of six Patriot League matches to close out the regular season begins Sunday March 30 at league newcomer Loyola.
