BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- After opening the season with an 82-70 victory at Monmouth Saturday night, the Lehigh women's basketball team faces a quick turnaround when the Mountain Hawks host East Stroudsburg in the 2014-15 home opener Monday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. from Stabler Arena. Free video will be available on the Patriot League Network.

Four Mountain Hawks scored in double-figures Saturday night at Monmouth to help Lehigh to an 82-70 victory as head coach Sue Troyan captured her 300th career win. With the game tied at 59, Lehigh closed the contest on a 23-11 run to capture the season-opening victory.

Sophomore Lexi Martins tallied her first-career double-double in the victory, posting career highs in points (15) and rebounds (10) to help the Mountain Hawks finish with a 48-37 edge on the glass. Freshman Quinci Mann scored 16 points and dished five assists in her collegiate debut. Junior Kerry Kinek posted 12 points and seven rebounds, all but one rebound coming in the second half after getting into early foul trouble. Senior Katie O'Reilly scored 16 points as well.

Lehigh shot 53 percent from the field (31-of-59) and 39 percent from three-point range (5-of-13). Monmouth finished 33 percent (26-of-78) and 33 percent from long range (10-of-31).

Monday's contest will be the first of the season for East Stroudsburg. ESU returns five starters for its fifth season under head coach Maureen Smith, coming off the Warriors' first winning season since 2007 (going 15-13) and first PSAC quarterfinal appearance since 2008.

Senior forward Jessica Martin, one of two current PSAC players named to three straight all-conference teams, anchors the Warriors offensively and defensively while earning a spot on the preseason All-PSAC East squad. Martin has led ESU in scoring and rebounding two straight seasons, and in blocked shots in all three of her seasons at ESU. She averaged 12.5 points and 8.4 rebounds as a junior in 2013 after posting 11.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg as a sophomore.

Martin, sophomore forward Allison Howard, senior guard Ryann Fiascki and junior guards Melissa Poderis and Helena Gemmell all return from the Warriors' starting lineup a year ago. Senior guard Andrea Veres also returns with a medical redshirt after missing all but six games last season.

ESU returns 13 letterwinners overall and 10 of its 12 players who saw at least 100 minutes of action last season. Returners in the frontcourt include junior center Michelle Boggs (4.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 24 blocks), senior forward Kelsey Murray (3.1 ppg, 2.0 rpg) and sophomore forward Madison Tamburini (1.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg).

The backcourt includes junior Tyeca Reviere (3.2 ppg, 39 assists) and sophomores Rachel Falkowski (1.4 ppg), Courtney Brown and Jackie Hillson.

The Warriors have just three newcomers - freshman guard Imani Brown, freshman forward Rebecca Rutkowski and freshman center Madeleine Wallace.

This will be the first regular-season meeting between East Stroudsburg and Lehigh. The teams have met for preseason scrimmages as recently as last year.

Following Monday's game, the Mountain Hawks will hit the road for three-straight away contests, beginning with a trip to NJIT Friday at 7 p.m. The Mountain Hawks return home on December 2 to host Hampton on Education Day.
