Lehigh completes Army 4-Way

WEST POINT, N.Y. – In its first competition in over a month, the Lehigh men's track and field team finished fourth at the Army 4-Way on Saturday inside Gillis Field House. The Black Knights finished first at the event with 213.9 points, followed by Rider (165), Manhattan (145.9) and Lehigh (103.2).
Junior Christopher Watson ran 800 meters in 1:58.46 to claim second place, trailing only Clyde Wilson of Army who is the returning Patriot League champion. Senior Martin Otieno claimed another second place finish for the Mountain Hawks in the 200 meter dash with an impressive time of 22.36. Sophomore Derek Knott shined once again in the sprints, finishing fourth in the 60 meter dash with a 7.13 clip. Senior Ryan Paquin was Lehigh's highest finisher in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing in 8.76 to grab fifth place.
Junior Derek Gaul (6.74m) and Paquin (6.64m) placed second and third, respectively, in the long jump.Freshman Daniel Boardman impressed in the high jump, claiming second place with a 1.99m mark. Senior Patrick Ciez and junior Adeolu Adesida followed in third and fourth place.
Junior Justin Mahoney finished third in the 400 meter dash with a clip of 50.91. Freshman James Clements was the highest Mountain Hawk finisher in the 500 meter run, finishing seventh with a time of 1:08.63.
Otieno, Watson, Mahoney and freshman Christopher Del Rossi raced their way to a second place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:26.84.
Junior Sean Burke impressed on the distance side with a second place finish in the 5000 meter run, crossing the line in 15:49.22.
The Mountain Hawks return home next weekend to host the Angry Birds Invitational on Saturday inside Rauch Fieldhouse.
