BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh head men's lacrosse coach Kevin Cassese will join Anish Shroff and analyst Mark Dixon in studio this weekend for the NCAA Quarterfinal games on Saturday and Sunday. It marks the second straight season that Cassese will serve as a guest analyst for the quarterfinals. The three will provide coverage before each game, at halftime and between contests as they break down all four games over the two days.
Saturday's games in College Park, Md. are Yale vs. #1 Syracuse at 12:30 p.m. followed by Cornell against #3 Ohio State at 3 p.m. Those games are set for ESPN2. Sunday kicks off with #5 Denver vs. #4 North Carolina at noon then #7 Duke and #2 Notre Dame at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
Last weekend, ESPN had a pair of guest analysts in studio: Virginia head coach Dom Starsia on Saturday and Johns Hopkins coach Dave Pietramala Sunday.
Cassese led the Mountain Hawks to their second straight Patriot League Tournament Title and NCAA Tournament berth. Lehigh led #4 seed UNC 2-1 after a quarter last weekend, and were within 7-5 in the third before the top-ranked tar Heels pulled away. Still, the Mountain Hawks finished with a 12-5 record, hosting the Patriot League Tournament for the first time and becoming the first team since Navy six years ago to claim back-to-back league titles.
