Freshman Feierberg leads Lehigh on day one of Brown Bear Invite

BARRINGTON, R.I. – Freshman Nicole Feierberg shot seven over par 79 to lead the Lehigh women's golf team in round one of the Brown Bear Invitational Sunday at Rhode Island Country Club. Feierberg carded a 39 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine to tie for 18th place as Lehigh shot 327 as a team to sit in 11th place in the 14-team field after day one of the 36-hole event.
Senior Chelsea Michalek and sophomore Alyssa Scheyd both shot rounds of 41-41-82 to tie for 37th place, while senior Ginette Schapira and junior Crystal Lee are tied for 48th place after both players shot 42-42-84.Five players shot three over par 75 to tie for the individual lead. Those players are Sun Gyoung Park of Yale, Bonnie Hu of Harvard, Cristina Felip of LIU-Brooklyn, Jennifer Neville of St. John's and Kristyna Pavlickova of Boston University.
Yale shot 309 to take the team lead over 18 holes. The Bulldogs lead Harvard by three strokes, while Dartmouth is in third place, five shots off the pace.
The Brown Bear Invitational concludes Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 9:30 a.m.
