BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Winners of three straight and four of its last five, the Lehigh men's basketball team will look to keep that momentum going when it hosts three-time defending NEC Champion LIU Brooklyn on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Stabler Arena. The game marks the second game of a basketball doubleheader; the Lehigh women host Saint Peter's at 5 p.m. Following Monday, the Mountain Hawks will break for final exams before their next game on Dec. 21 against Quinnipiac.
Â
Five Mountain Hawks finished with double-figure points against UMBC, led by 13 points from freshman Tim Kempton. That included a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line in the final minute. Kempton had eight rebounds while sophomore Jesse Chuku grabbed nine. Classmate Austin Price added 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, as did senior Mackey McKnight. McKnight added eight assists to move into third place in school history in career assists. The New Orleans native now has 29 assists over the first three home games.
Â
Junior Corey Schaefer rounded out the five double-figure scorers with 10 points including 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Bailey 10 in a 85-76 victory.
Â

LIU Brooklyn enters Monday with a 2-5 record against a challenging schedule. The Blackbirds are the fourth of five reigning NCAA Tournament teams Lehigh will face. The Mountain Hawks already played Minnesota, Pittsburgh and South Dakota, and will face Bucknell.
Â
Lehigh looks to keep the home momentum going and win its seventh straight in the friendly confines of Stabler Arena. The Mountain Hawks look to beat a member of the NEC for the 14th time in their last 15 tries (dating back to 2010).
Â
