BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The United States men’s lacrosse national team, featuring Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese, will take part in its first exhibition contest on Sunday, June 6 when the team takes on a college all-star team comprised of recently graduated lax players who are vying to get drafted by Major League Lacrosse. The game will take place on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and will get underway at 2:30 inside the Yale Bowl.
Sunday’s game is the first of three exhibitions for Team USA, which also includes a game on Friday, June 18 at Lehigh’s own Ulrich Sports Complex. That contest will pit the U.S. national team versus the Philadelphia Lacrosse Association (PLA) All-Stars.
Cassese will arrive at the Yale Bowl at 11 AM on Sunday and following a team meeting around 11:30, the U.S. team will head out to the field for pre-game warm ups. After the game the team will sign autographs on the field and then the Major League Lacrosse Draft will take part beginning at 7:00.
