Cassese, Team USA to appear on Today Show

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With the 2010 FIL World Championships now just over two weeks away, members of the U.S. National Team are making preparations on the field and now will be making appearances in the mainstream media. Lehigh head coach and Team USA midfielder Kevin Cassese will appear on the Today Show, Thursday, July 1 on NBC. Cassese will be joined by Team USA teammates Max Seibald and Matt Striebel as well as head coach Mike Pressler to discuss the upcoming Major League Lacrosse All-Star game and the World Championships in Manchester, England.
Cassese, along with his coach and teammates, will discuss Team USA’s final exhibition on American soil before the World Championships, a game against the MLL All-Stars July 8 at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Mass., and the World Championships, which run from July 15-24, with Today Show anchors Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry and Al Roker.
The U.S. National Team has already played exhibition games against a team of college all-stars on June 6 and against the Philadelphia Lacrosse Association All-Stars on June 18; a game that was played at Lehigh’s Ulrich Sports Complex.
The Today Show airs weekdays from 7-11 a.m. on NBC.
