BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's lacrosse team will see its first opponents of the fall season when it competes in the Nick Colleluori Classic on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks will face Towson, Mount St. Mary's and Fairfield at Ridley High School in Folsom, Pa.
This year's “HEADstrong Team of Champions” includes 10 Division I squads – Lehigh, Hofstra, Presbyterian, Cornell, Saint Joseph's, Fairfield, Towson, Detroit-Mercy, Mount St. Mary's and Villanova. Games will occur on Saturday and Sunday, with the Mountain Hawks solely competing on day one.
Games will occur all day at Ridley High School, with Lehigh set to take the field at 11 a.m. against defending CAA Finalist Towson. That game will be on the natural grass field while its 4 p.m. showdown against Faifield will be played on the stadium turf field. The Mountain Hawks will also face Mount St. Mary's at 2:30 p.m. at the Upper Baseball Field where they will simulate man-up and man-down scenarios.
The weekend will be busy for head coach Kevin Cassese, who will coach the USA Men's Senior National Team in its exhibition on Sunday at Harvard Stadium.
