Day one complete at League Championships

Annapolis, MD-After the first day of Patriot League competition Lehigh men's and women's swimming and diving team sit in second and fourth place respectively. Lehigh's men's team recorded 204 points on Thursday, to earn second place behind American who earned 220 points. The men's 200 yard freestyle relay team earned the men's team their first points of the evening. The relay team touched the wall at 1:26.07 to capture a third place finish. The men's 400 yard relay team also did well recording a second place finish with a time of 3:30.44. In the men's 200 Yard individual medley senior Jason Boire and junior Brian Quigley finished seventh and eighth. Junior Bing Padmasankha finished the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.04, for third place and earned the Mountain Hawks 16 points, junior Jake Fletcher took sixth. Sophomore Brian Golebiewski improved his time by an impressive two seconds to place second in the 500 yard freestyle. Freshman Pat Ryan scored 364.15 points to earn third in the men's 3 meter diving. Lehigh's women's team tallied 133 points to tab a fourth place finish, with Bucknell's women leading the way with 184 points. Senior Lauren Ayres continues to impress, tabbing the only first place finish for the Mountain Hawks thus far. The senior finished the 500 yard freestyle in 5:00.57 to earn Lehigh 20 points, freshman Amanda Warrick finished fifth. In the 50 yard freestyle junior Katy Hunchar and sophomore Linsey Kokal tabbed sixth and eighth place finishes. The women's 200 yard freestyle relay team touched the wall at 1:38.06 to earn fourth and the 400 yard medley relay team finished fifth.
