Easton, PA – The Lehigh women (3-3, 1-2 Patriot League) failed to claim first place in only two events, while the men (4-1, 2-0) took the top spot in all but three, as both teams defeated rival Lafayette on Friday evening. The women came out on top 176-66, while the men picked up a 164-77 win. The women took 1-2-3 finishes in both the 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle. In the 200 butterfly, senior Laura Gabrynowicz picked up one of her two victories on the day with a time of 2:09.18. Juniors Kristyn Sayball and Jennifer Lindenmuth followed her to the wall, completing the sweep for the Mountain Hawks. The 500 free saw sophomores Amanda Warrick and Krissy Blaston and freshman Linda Hendrixson come home with the top three spots, as Warrick won in 5:15.30. Besides winning the 200 fly, Gabrynowicz also won the 200 free, with her time of 1:57.65. Warrick was also victorious in the 1000 free, as she touched the final wall in 10:41.25. On the men’s side, senior Bing Padmassankha and junior Brian Golebiewski each won two events. Padamassankha took home first place finishes in both the100 and 200 freestyle events. He won the 100 in 47.06, and the 200 in 1:44.53. Golebiewski swam a time of 9:54.98 to win the 1000 free, and also won the 500 free with his time of 4:49.63. Freshman Daniel Buschmann and sophomore Jason Koch completed a 1-2-3 sweep for the Mountain Hawks in the 500 free. In the 200 breaststroke, freshman Grant Flothmeier was the first place finisher, followed by teammates sophomore Stephen Greidanus and junior Owen Samuelson. Lehigh returns to action on December 6 and 7 when they travel to the Delaware Invitational.
