Lehigh was also one of just 52 Division I field hockey programs to achieve a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, which honors the Mountain Hawks with the NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award. This is the second consecutive season that the Brown and White has earned this distinction as a team, after it earned a 3.21 team GPA in the 2004 fall semester, which was seventh highest among all Mountain Hawk athletics teams.
Lehigh ended its 2004 season with a record of 9-10, which included the teams first appearance in the Patriot League Tournament since 1996 and the largest shutout victory in school history, a 9-0 win over Robert Morris in early September. The Mountain Hawks are currently involved in winter workouts and will soon begin their spring schedule, as they gear up for another successful run in 2005.
