Lehigh squares off against rival Lafayette

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh (3-11, 0-4 Patriot League) faces a tough challenge Saturday when they host rival Lafayette (14-2, 4-0 Patriot League). The two teams are currently at opposite ends of the spectrum. The Mountain Hawks have dropped 11 of their last twelve and are winless in the Patriot League, while the Leopards have won 14 in a row and are undefeated in the league.
On Wednesday evening, Lehigh fell by a final of 5-2 to Villanova. Junior Blaire Goodwin and freshman Maureen Harrington each scored a goal in the loss. Goodwin leads the team with nine goals, tied for third in the Patriot League, and 18 points. Harrington, meanwhile, is second to Goodwin with four goals and nine points.
Freshman Meghan Gove and sophomore Jeanine Hoff have each started five games in goal for the Mountain Hawks. Gove has picked up all three victories, while Hoff leads the team with 2.04 goals against and a .766 save percentage.
The Leopards are led by senior Meghan Monahan, who is second in the nation with 22 goals and third with 54 points. Juniors Jennifer Stone and Meredith Hahn are tied for second on the team in scoring, as each have 29 points. Stone has nine goals and 11 assists, while Hahn has eight scores and a Patriot League-best 13 assists. Senior Beth Gulotta has also scored eight goals for Lafayette.
Junior Casey Devlin has been the Leopards top goalie all season. Devlin leads the league with 12 shutouts and a .818 save percentage and sits second with a 1.46 goals against average.
