Davies ties for first as Lehigh wraps up competition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Rosie Davies shot a 154 (78, 76) over the course of 18 holes and tied for first place at the 2009 Kelly Gutshall Invitational. Davies tied with Harriet Owers-Bradley of Yale who also shot a 154 (79, 75), while Lehigh senior Livia Amado shot a 157 (77, 80) and tied for fourth in the individual standings. Harvard shot a 633 (318, 315) to claim the team title, and the Crimson were followed by Columbia (312, 324 = 636), Penn (325, 318 = 643), Lehigh (328, 322 = 650) and Yale (332, 323 = 655).
Other Mountain Hawks that competed for Lehigh A included Jen Nagel who tied for 18th after shooting a 166 (82, 84), Ana Nam who tied for 33rd with a 173 (91, 82) and Ginette Schapira who finished in 40th with a 177 (91, 86).
Lehigh B finished in eighth place with Chelsea Michalek shooting a 167 (84, 83) to tie for 22nd, Emily Endres finishing in 29th with a 170 (85, 85), Ashley Amador tying for 31st with a 172 (88, 84) and Jasmin Hughes tying for 41st after shooting a 178 (86, 92).
This match concludes the Mountain Hawks’ fall schedule. They will return to competition on March 20 as they travel to Virginia to take part in the William & Mary Invitational.
