BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In his first game since June 5 playing for the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese helped lead the Barrage to a 16-11 victory over the Boston Cannons in front of over 8,000 fans at Harvard Stadium on Saturday evening.  Cassese scored a two-point goal in the victory on a hidden ball trick that later was selected as the number-eight Play of the Day on ESPN’s SportsCenter.  Cassese’s goal put the Barrage up by seven and was the first score for either team in the third quarter.

Due to his responsibilities as the Lehigh men’s lacrosse head coach, Cassese was limited to just two games this season prior to Saturday’s win over the Cannons.  Cassese and the Barrage have one final regular season game remaining, when they travel to take on the New Jersey Pride on August 9 at 7:30.  Cassese and the Barrage won the MLL Championship last season, marking the second consecutive year they took home the title.
