BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Fred Cassilly has been selected to participate in the 67th Annual USILA North-South Senior All-Star Classic, it was recently announced. The contest will be held on Friday, May 23 at 4:00 inside of Harvard Stadium in Massachusetts. Cassilly becomes the first Mountain Hawk since Jeff King in 2006 to be selected for this event and the fifth Lehigh player since 2000, joining King, Andrew Lucas, Scott Carpenter and Todd Schreiner. Cassilly is one of five student-athletes from the Patriot League that will participate in the game, along with players from Army, Bucknell and Colgate.
Cassilly scored 12 goals and handed out nine assists as a senior. He added 19 ground balls as well. The Maryland native netted a pair of hat tricks in wins over Patriot League foes Holy Cross and Lafayette, and his season high of two assists came in a victory over Wagner. Cassilly finished the year third on the Mountain Hawks in points and goals and second in shots.
