BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior captain Dan Honeywell was named to the 2008 All-Patriot League First Team, it was announced on Wednesday.  A defender, Honeywell led the Mountain Hawks in caused turnovers with 14 this season and the New York native also added 42 ground balls, good for second best on the squad.  Honeywell started all 15 games for Lehigh in 2008 and emerged as the leader of a defense that held nine opponents to less than ten goals.  This marks the 15th consecutive season that Lehigh has placed at least one player on the All-League teams.

Honeywell’s best all-around game came in a win over St. John’s where he scooped up a season high seven ground balls and caused three turnovers.  Honeywell also caused three turnovers versus Villanova and Holy Cross, and he registered five or more ground balls on three separate occasions.  Honeywell scored one goal this season, which came versus No. 2 Duke in Durham, North Carolina.  It was the third goal of his career.
