Walsh honored with PL Sportsmanship award

Walsh, who recently graduated from Lehigh with a degree in political science, appeared in nine games for the Mountain Hawks during the 2007 season, making two starts along the way. The
Off of the field, Walsh has participated in Lehigh’s award winning C.O.A.C.H. program, lending his time to the annual Adopt-a-Family event, in which each sport program adopts an underprivileged family and raises resources to provide gifts for them during the holiday season. He was also the 2007 recipient of the Lehigh University Athletics Department Sportsmanship Award.
“It’s difficult to have as strong an impact on a team or a program that Robby has had without being what your opponents may regard as your go-to guy, but anyone that has been associated with the Lehigh lacrosse program during his time knows the extent of Robby’s true impact,” head coach Chris Wakely commented.
This marks the second consecutive year that a Lehigh student-athlete was honored with the Patriot League Sportsmanship Award. Former men’s basketball standout Joe Knight ’06 earned the award last year.
