Senior trio garners all-league accolades

Pawlewicz capped off her stellar career with her third straight first team selection, after garnering second team honors as a freshman. After initially coming to Lehigh as a forward, Pawlewicz started all 74 games of her career in central defense and anchored one of the league’s top defensive units. This past season, Pawlewicz and her mates on defense held opponents to under a goal per game, and pitched seven shutouts as a unit. On the offensive end, Pawlewicz added two assists and with her strong leg was one of Lehigh’s top free kick takers.
For her career, Pawlewicz contributed two goals and three assists, and was on the back line for 31 shutouts, including 13 in Lehigh’s record-setting 2005 season in which the Mountain Hawks allowed the fewest goals in Division I women’s soccer. That season Pawlewicz was named the Patriot League’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Fetsick led the Mountain Hawks with five goals in her senior campaign, en route to the first all-league honor of her career. She netted the only goal in a 1-0 win over Marist in September, and scored a pair of goals to help Lehigh hand Bucknell its only Patriot League loss on October 26. Fetsick finishes her career with 14 goals, six of which were game-winners for the Mountain Hawks.
Montalvo also garnered her first all-league recognition after finishing third on the Mountain Hawks with nine points. She scored the overtime game-winning goal in Lehigh’s win over Big Ten member
The Patriot League win unveil its major award winners at Thursday night’s pre-tournament banquet. Lehigh wrapped up its regular season with a 7-7-4 record. The Mountain Hawks will say goodbye to seven seniors, including all three of their all-league selections.
