The Mountain Hawks took the lead for the first time in the 30th minute when Hojnacki rifled a shot from the left of the 18 yard box that found the top right corner of the net.
Just 90 seconds later, St. Joe’s had an equalizer as Wean scored her second of the game on a feed from Kimmy Leigh and after 45 minutes the game was tied at two.
Lehigh held a 7-5 advantage in shots in the first half and also had five corner kicks, to just one for the Hawks.
Hojnacki gave Lehigh the lead for the second time in the 71st minute as the freshman pounced on the rebound of Lauren Fornuto’s shot and beat Kuhn for her second goal of the game.
The Mountain Hawk defense though, was unable to hold the lead as Nancy Cook deflected home a Leigh centering pass to tie the game up with 10 minutes to play. In overtime, Wean found Schutt open on the left side of the box and Schutt beat Lehigh’s Julie Kafka for the game winner.
“I was pleased with the effort in terms of being up 3-2 at home,” said head coach Manny Oudin. “We can’t afford to have the mental breakdowns that we’ve had to allow teams to game back. When we score three goals in a game, we shouldn’t lose.”

All three of Lehigh’s home contests in 2006 have gone to overtime. The Mountain Hawks are 1-2 in those games.
