Lehigh got on the board first when
Evans would add an insurance goal in the 70th minute, his first collegiate score, as he got behind the Quaker defense, and found the back of the net. Daniel Cepero sent back three Mountain Hawk shots in goal for the Quakers. Lehigh out shot the visitors 17-6 on the evening and had three corner kicks to Penn’s seven. Each team was whistled for 14 fouls, and there were three yellow cards issued.
“This was a hard game to get a grip on for both teams,” head coach Dean Koski said afterwards. “There was no real flow to it. Penn struggled to get a hold and Lehigh struggled to get a hold.
