PISCATAWAY, NJ – Playing in their first game since last Saturday, the Mountain Hawks lost their first away game of 2006, 2-0 to Rutgers on Friday night at Yurcak Field.  The Mountain Hawks now fall to 1-1 while Rutgers improves to 1-2 on the season.  Rutgers held an 11-3 shot advantage and a 5-3 corner kick advantage over the Mountain Hawks.  Senior goalkeeper Jim Morahan recorded three saves in the game.

After playing to a 0-0 tie at halftime, the Scarlet Knights scored their first goal in the 49th minute when Chris Moore sent a cross to the front of the goal where Sean Cameron was waiting.

“When we gave up that goal, we had to chase them for the remainder of the game,” said assistant coach Mike Benn.

Rutgers sealed the win in the 85th minute when Charlie Cox got around senior defender John O’Reilly and scored on his only shot of the game.

The Mountain Hawks will return to action on Sunday, September 3 at 7:00 pm when they take on Penn at the Ulrich Sports Complex.  The game will be broadcast live online at lehighsports.com with streaming audio and video powered by Yahoo! Sports.
