King to represent Lehigh at North-South Classic

Sixty of the nation’s top senior lacrosse players will be participating in this year’s event, which will pit the Division I and II squad, coached by Tom Postel and Randy Marks, versus the Division III team, headed by Jason Paige and Steve Colter.

In Lehigh’s season finale versus No. 6 Navy in the Patriot League Tournament, King scored his first goal of the season, and 12th of his career. King, who made the switch from midfield to defense before the start of his sophomore season, finished his career for the Mountain Hawks with over 240 ground balls. King was Lehigh's 12th all-time Patriot League major award winner, and first since 1999, when Todd Schreiner was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year and John McCloskey took home Coach of the Year honors. King joined Schreiner and Scott Youmans (1995) as the only Lehigh players to ever be named Defensive Player of the Year.
This marks the second consecutive season that a Lehigh player was chosen to play in this prestigious event, with Andrew Lucas ’05 participating a year ago. The
