BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With its 13-6 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon coupled with Lafayette’s loss to Colgate in Hamilton on the same day, Lehigh has officially clinched its second straight berth in the Patriot League Tournament.  This year’s tourney is scheduled to take place on April 28 and 30 at a site still to be determined.

Navy, Army and Colgate are the other three schools who will join Lehigh in the postseason party, with seedings and the site still to be determined after this week’s league action.  Navy has finished its league schedule with a 5-1 record, while Colgate (4-1) will take on Bucknell this Saturday.  Army (3-2) plays host to Holy Cross on Tuesday evening in West Point in another game with large implications.  Possible seeding scenarios for the upcoming tournament are listed below.

Lehigh, 3-2 in Patriot League play, will be back in action when the Mountain Hawks travel to take on archrival Lafayette on Friday evening in Easton.  Lehigh has never lost to the Leopards under head coach Chris Wakely, owning a perfect 4-0 mark under its head man.  The Brown and White can secure its best league record since 1999 with a win on Friday evening.  That season the Mountain Hawks were 4-1 in league competition.  Game time for Friday is set for 7:00.
