ALBANY, N.Y. – Lehigh bounced back from a tough loss earlier this week with an 11-7 victory over Vermont on a neutral field on Saturday afternoon.  With the win, the Mountain Hawks improve to 5-2 overall, while the Catamounts fall to 4-2.  Stephen Marino led the way on offense for the Brown and White, scoring four goals, while Blake Best added three scores.

Other goal scorers for the Mountain Hawks were Jeff Wiener and Alec Hoof with two apiece, while David Gaunt, David Walsh, Jeff Wiener and Best each handed out two assists and Mike Zurfluh handed out a team-high three helpers.  Sophomore John Park went the distance in goal for the Brown and White, picking up victory number-five along the way as he recorded 11 saves.

The game was tied at five at halftime, before Lehigh scored six of the second half’s eight goals to pull away.  The Mountain Hawks unleashed 32 shots for the game and scooped up 37 ground balls, led by Tom Weiss' ten.  Weiss helped lead the Brown and White to a 15 of 22 advantage in face offs, as the senior was dominant in that area.

Lehigh returns to action on Friday, March 24 in Annapolis, Maryland when the Mountain Hawks take on the No. 4 ranked Navy Midshipmen in a battle of unbeaten Patriot League teams.  Game time is scheduled for 4:00 from Navy Marine Corps Stadium and all of the action can be heard live on lehighsports.com with streaming powered by Yahoo!
