Penn scored three times in the first five minutes of the second half and looked as though it was going to come all the way back, but the Mountain Hawks regained their composure, as Lucas scored the game’s next three goals in a span of 11 minutes and the Lehigh lead was back up to 12-6 with nine minutes remaining. Morin and Lucas would tack up two more scores for the Mountain Hawks, and the victory was theirs.

Junior captain Jeff King was solid all day long on defense for Lehigh, scooping up seven groundballs and causing one turnover.

There were a few moments that we did not manage the lead very well, but we’re learning and we’re improving.” Wakely continued, “We’re very talented and we can play with anybody, and we showed that here today. This is a huge win for us, and it’s really a confidence builder.”
