BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Former captain and All-Patriot League performer Andrew Lucas was recently selected by the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) in the 2006 MLL Supplemental Draft held on December 6.  Lucas, who was one of 22 players selected by Long Island, was selected in the 13th round as the 129th overall pick.  The Lizards will begin their training camp on Saturday, April 29.

Lucas finished as one of the most successful players in history for Lehigh, recording 110 goals, 126 points and 112 ground balls.  He is one of only eleven players in Patriot League history to have scored 100 career goals, including 35 as a senior.  Lucas was a two-time All-Patriot League selection and a two-time captain for the Mountain Hawks.  The Baldwin, New York native was also selected to play in the 64th annual North-South All-Star Classic, held back in June, where he scored one goal and scooped up three ground balls, in helping lead the South to a 14-11 victory.
